-Mexican Redleg-
Brachypelma emilia
-New world terrestrial with a larger range than other Brachypelma. Their distribution is along the foothills of the Sierra Madre Occidental mountain formation and populations from Sinaloa and Nayarit, Mexico are reported.
-Grassland, deciduous forests, and lowland semi-arid habitats. Will utilize pre-made burrows and hides. Some specimens will construct burrows given deep enough substrate.
-Adult size for females is approximately 5-6 inches diagonal leg span.
Mexican Redleg
All sizes are approximations, as these are living creatures some variables will occur. Measurement for spiders is 'DLS' (diagonal leg span). This measurement method is determined when the animal is at rest from the front leg's natural extension to the rearmost legs natural resting position.
